Abbey is an Oregon native, a traveler, and a picnicking enthusiast who spends much of her time in search of the planet's finest produce and most beautiful landscapes. She holds a BA in studio art and creative writing from Humboldt State University. Primarily an illustrator, Abbey delights in using her artwork to celebrate the extraordinary qualities of the ordinary, and the loveliness of “in-between” moments.

She intends to create engaging and functional pieces that provide occasion to connect, sip, savor, and otherwise partake in the ever-present bounties that exist around us. Abbey's clay work focuses mainly on hand-built and decorated pinch pots, tiny teaware and picnicware sets, and whimsical sculptural mugs.

Abbey takes a break from Clayworks in the Summer to help run a food gleaning program. She will be back in the late fall.
